Zion Lutheran Church Advent 2004
The Church was decorated inside and out.
Zion opened its doors to the Silverhill community after the annual Town of Silverhill Christmas Parade and Singing in the Park on the evening of December 3, 2004. Visitors enjoyed traditional Scandinavian Christmas delicacies such as Sill (Swedish marinated pickled herring), and Krumkage (a Norwegian Christmas cookie).

Miss Melanie and her second grade class from Silverhill School visited Zion on Tuesday, December 14.
Children looking around and asking questions about Swedish Christmas
and the church decorations. Yes, they learned some Swede in this old
Swedish Lutheran church. Can you say, "Gud Jul"?

Children listened to Mr. Pete discuss Christmas and Zion's fascinating
bell. And yes, that pink thing on the right is an Advent candle from
our Advent wreath, one of the things the class was curious about.
