Zion Lutheran Church welcomed everyone in the community to join in celebrating the 100th year during the weekend of October 29 and 30, 2005.

The historical bell tolled from Zion’s belfry at the beginning of each service during Reformation Weekend to invite present and former members, family, friends, pastors and dignitaries to attend the weekend festivities that marked Zion’s first 100 years.

Following is the schedule of activities for the two day event:

Saturday October 29, 2005

1:00-2:00 ~ In the Sanctuary
Festival Community Service using an abbreviated English version of the historical Octoberana Liturgy from 1901. Special dignatories and guests recognized. There was no offering collected during this Community Service, however, an offering plate was passed around containing commemorative medallions for the congregation to take.
