Mid-Week Lenten Focus
Set for Zion Lutheran

     Members and friends are invited to a weekly 6:00 PM “Soup and Sandwich Supper” preceding each 7:00 PM Mid-Week Lenten Service at Zion Lutheran Church.

     This 2007 Lenten Season the Mid-Week Services will examine the Lord Jesus’ admonitions to the churches of Asia Minor found in the Book of Revelation. Pastor Dave notes, “Many times we look for direction in life and we wander from place to place looking for an anchor to give solice. The church has understood from its beginning that it is the Lord Jesus Himself Who would provide the direction we need. During our Mid-Week Lenten Services we can be encouraged in our walk of faith when we look at the Lord’s direction to the churches of Asia Minor.”

     Pastor Dave in India-garb, recently returned from Chirala, Andhra Pradesh, India. Here he shares a a variety of India items including a wooden sculpture of the "suffering Christ," a gift from Dr. Anand Kumar who works with the Association Free Lutheran Congregations--India.      Each mid-week, members and friends of Zion Lutheran Church are cordially invited to share a comlimentary light supper at 6:00 PM and a brief Vespers Service at 7:00 PM.
