South Central Alabama Chapter
of Thrivent for Lutherans
Celebrates Christmas

Members of the South Central Alabama Thrivent for Lutherans Chapter welcomed the Christmas Season on December 1, 2007 with a beef and shrimp dinner augmented by favorite dishes offered on a potluck basis. The Chapter celebrated another successful year in meeting community and church needs in South Baldwin.

Ernest Burnett, on behalf of the leadership of the South Central Alabama Chapter of Thrivent for Lutherans, a fraternal Lutheran financial services organization, opened Christmas festivities at Perdido Bay's Camp Dixie on December 1, 2007 with a spirit of thankfulness.

Members of the Thrivent Chapter had brought dinner dish items to augment the roast beef and shrimp dinner at the Thrivent Annual Christmas Party. Music by "Top Hat" and a Chapter fundraising auction complemented the activities. The Chapter is a vehicle for focusing fraternal support funds on local needs identified by Lutherans in South Baldwin, the most visible in recent weeks being the 15 K Run in Fairhope/Point Clear to support a "Lutheran" Habitat for Humanity Build program to begin in February '08.
