The early crew for the 2009 Valentine's event stopped for
just a moment before getting that Fellowship Hall kitchen humming.
Cindi Johnson, Linda Gibbs, Vera Avera, Martha Canning, Ruth Ann
Bulltinck, and Henrie Burnett (l to r) caught their breath before
bringing out the lasagne.
Martha Canning got the tea and coffee out. "You have to
have something with these desserts, you know."
Candles lit. Entrées heated. You get the idea. Linda
Gibbs (far l), Becky Vasko, Vera Avera, Ruth Ann Bulltinck, Mary
Kinsey, and Betty Pitcher (l to r) readied the banquet.
Tina Lyrene, Sylvia and Ken Caldwell, and Ed Kinsey (l to
r) manned the candle on Table 1.
Charlie Canning, Ernie Burnett, and Mack Gibbs paid extra
attention to Steve Vasko's Valentine's Day story (l to r).
Betty Pitcher, Ernie Burnett, Tina Lyrene, Shirley
Stephens, Henrie Burnett, Mack Gibbs, Margaret Stephens, Vera Avera,
and Matt Johnson (l to r) relax after dinner and before the evening's
program begins.
Matt Johnson, Ruth Ann Bulltinck, Becky and Steve Vasko,
and Cindi Johnson (l to r) enjoy the last cup of tea before the
program begins.
Mistress of Ceremonies, Linda Gibbs, saw that the event ran
smoothly and added wit to the flow of events.
Ernie Burnett, Betty and Wayne Pitcher, and Charlie and
Martha Canning finish a thought as Linda Gibbs adjusts background
music behind the podium (l to r).
Matt Johnson, Pastor Dave, and Wayne Pitcher shared a moment.
Pastor Dave's "Cat in the Hat" tied was very interested the
kitchen. Ruth Ann Bulltinck (l to r) looked at table preparation.
Linda Gibbs shared story and wisdom as Mistress of Ceremonies.
Mack Gibbs related personal experience with devotions for
the event.
Matt Johnson shared a piano selection with the crowd.
Ken Caldwell shared a vocal music selection.
Linda Gibbs (podium) established music identification teams
by table. Shirley Stephens (piano) prepared to stump the teams.
The competition was fierce, but Table 1 won one.
