Helen Gwin Lindell
Helen Gwin Lindell, 78, a native of Mobile and a resident of Silverhill since 1952 died, Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.
She had a long nursing career and she worked in various doctors clinics in Baldwin County; an operating room scrub nurse at South Baldwin Hospital and retired from the University of South Alabama Family Practice. She enjoyed traveling, reading and Mardi Gras.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lindell and son, James Noel Lindell.
Survivors include three sons, Gary (Karen) Lindell and Gordon (Spring) Lindell, both of Daphne, and John (Susan) Lindell of Plano, Texas; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Gwin Jr. of Silverhill and Robert “Bobby” Gwin of Alexandria, La; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Robertsdale with Father William James officiating. Burial will follow at Silverhill Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Patrick’s School, P.O. Box 1357, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
