Ash Wednesday Message

     Pastor Jim Rasmussen, Director of Evangelism at the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations in Plymouth, Minnesota, will bring the Ash Wednesday message at Lenten Vespers at 7 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Silverhill.

     The Reverend James Rasmussen will bring an evangelism message of hope for God's people as part of Lenten Vespers at Zion Lutheran Church in Silverhill at 7 PM, Ash Wednesday, February 25, 2009.

     Pastor Jim is sometimes asked, "Why Evangelism?" The answer? "For the revival of the saints and winning the lost for Christ. There are 6,580 people dying every day in the USA and the vast majority will be spending eternity in hell," Pastor Jim will tell you. "We need to get the Word of Christ out! The task is possible. God needs each believer to be a part of His witnessing army. Each of us can make a difference. We have the joy and privilege of being His witnesses."

     Visitors, friends, and neighbors are invited to midweek worship with Pastor Jim at 7 PM, Wednesday, February 25, following a light "Soup and Sandwich Supper" at 6 PM. Zion Lutheran Church is located a block off State Highway 104 at 15875 4th Avenue at 7th Street in beautiful Silverhill.
