Concert at Zion Lutheran Church

Singing in the Deep South on a Saturday morning on June 28 was no little feat. After an evening with hosts Becky and Steve Vasko and Henrie and Ernie Burnett, the 2008 Summer Association Free Lutheran Bible School "Ambassador Traveling Gospel Team" presented a concert featuring music and testimony. After the concert, they left for an additional six hour trip into Florida. The Team will put 13,000 miles on the AFLBS van before returning to Minneapolis, MN. - Click each photo to enlarge.

The "Ambassadors Music Ministry Team" from the Association Free Lutheran Bible School in Minneapolis presented an inspirational morning concert at Zion Lutheran Church in beautiful Silverhill on Saturday, June 28th, at 10:30 AM. Zion's friends and neighbors in Baldwin County were cordially invited to this Christian music program featuring traditional and contemporary music and testimony.

The Association Free Lutheran Bible School, "AFLBS" for short, is a two-year, college-level school of the Bible, which enrolled 130 students this past year. Founded in 1967, AFLBS takes college students through the books of the Bible and trains them in ministry-related courses. The AFLBS campus is in suburban Plymouth, MN, about 20 minutes west of downtown Minneapolis. Typically, AFLBS credits transfer to Christian and public colleges and universities.
The 2008 Ambassador team visiting Zion features Andrew Abel from Campo Largo, Brazil, Mirian Alanen from Cloquet, MN, Elizabeth Berge from Fargo, ND, Emily Nelson from Bloomington, MN, and Jordan Rumohr of Champion, MI. They are traveling for ten weeks this summer throughout the United States for a total of 13,000 miles, visiting more than 40 churches and camps from coast to coast.
