Long-Time Zion Member and Friend Lillian Moseley Passes Away

The Zion congregation was saddened to hear that Lillian Moseley died on May 18, 2010. She was laid to rest next to husband Lawrence on May 22, 2010, at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Elsanor. The Moseleys were stalwarts in the Zion congregation for decades. Congregational Deacon Charles Canning presided at grave-side. Twin sister Violet Buonauro, still a member of Zion, was unable to attend her sister's burial. She resides with her daughter in Missouri. MOSELEY ELSANOR, AL Mrs. Lillian N. Moseley, age 84, a resident of Elsanor, AL, died Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 peacefully in her home. She was very active in the community, serving not only as a Mother of three children and devoted wife but also as a leader of 50 plus years in the Elsanor Homemakers Club, Farm Bureau Women's Group, Cattleman's Association Cow Bells, Zion Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Elsanor Community Center, and was an award winning seamstress & baker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Moseley of Elsanor, AL. Mrs. Moseley is survived by one daughter, Carolyn L. Moseley of Elsanor, AL; two sons, Robert L. Moseley, Sr. of Elsanor, AL, and Stephen C. Moseley of Sandy Springs, GA; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Family graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 2:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Elsanor, AL.
