Christmas Visits
December 16, 2010
It is a ministry of Zion Lutheran Church that is beneath the radar. Council member Charlie Canning have been visiting our home-bound members regularly on a monthly basis with communion. Here are a couple pictures from their December 2010 visits.
The visitation day began with Inez Langenback. That's Inez in the Santa hat and Pastor Dave in the red Christmas bow. The church remembrance gift is the Christmas stocking with some bulletins, a Christmas cup, and some sweet goodies. Martha’s muffins are sitting next to Inez.
You will note a few items of Christmas cheer. Martha Canning provided some special muffins for the December visits. A Zion Christmas Stocking with a little remembrance from the congregation was gifted on each visit. These little tokens have also been given to Kerrie Williams up in Bay Minette and to Jackie Stumer down in Foley.
From Silverhill Charlie and Pastor Dave traveled to Summerdale. They were able to leave their packages with Milt and Thelma Luoma. Of course, Thelma got to wear the Christmas hat. And yes, that’s Martha’s plate of muffins in Milts lap.
Then it was off to Daphne. Ella Kubina is still recovering from that broken neck, but she is definitely coming along. Yes, that is Ella in the Santa hat. That’s sister Vera Avera who guided Charlie and Pastor Dave to Ella’s son’s home.
