1 cup warm milk

½ cup butter, melted

½ cup sugar

3 egg yolks

1 tsp. salt

4 cups flour

1 pkg. yeast plus ¼ tsp. sugar, let rise

1. Scald milk, add butter and sugar, when just warm, add yeast mixture, 3 egg yolks, lightly beaten and enough flour to make a soft sponge.

2. Let rise, then add rest of the flour, add salt and beat real well until elastic.

3. Let rise until double, work any way you wish.

To make small kolaches, roll 1/2 dough and cut with a 2" cutter. Place on a well greased cookie sheet. When slightly raised, indent with fingers, place a tsp. of Solo brand pastry filling on each, then brush melted butter on each and top with the following topping.

1 cup flour

½ cup sugar

½ tsp. vanilla

3 Tbs. butter

1. Work until looks like corn meal.

2. Sprinkle some on each kolacki.

3. Bake: 350 to 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until nice and pink.
