Clarence Anderson built a large automobile repair garage in 1923. Mr. S.E. Heni and son Harry Heni also ran a blacksmith shop in the garage.
Paul Anderson's smaller garage had already been in operation since 1919, when he decided to buy the larger garage from Clarence Anderson in 1927. Paul provided gasoline and repair service for the area automobiles which were mostly Model-T Fords. The shop stayed in operation until about 1936 when the Great Depression caused its closure.
