Men's 710 - December 14, 2010
Phil Owen, author of "Cousins and the Buried Treasure" was this month's guest speaker.
Many folks will remember Phil Owen as an agent with the Robertsdale ALFA Insurance office. But he is retired now and he is a children's book author. Why? "Because I wanted to leave a memory to my grandchildren," he says. Basically, Phil began to write a little story aimed at children ages 6 to 10 years old, but it developed into more. The result? "Children will find themselves drawn into an adventure. A strong moral ending is a discovery when children find that it is wrong to take something that is not theirs."
There is a website for "Cousins and the Buried Treasure" and the developing series.

Mrs. Cathy Rogers, Prinicipal of Silverhill School, was this month's special guest.
